Private and NHS routes are different
Check the funded pathway before comparing private prices.
In England, NHS choice rights can allow referral to an appropriate provider for mental-health care. They have conditions and exceptions. Ask your GP which pathway applies and whether the chosen service provides assessment, medication treatment, or both.
A provider offering private appointments does not mean the same booking is NHS-funded. Assessment and treatment may have separate waits; local NHS arrangements can affect booking. Check the provider’s current NHS pathway and your referral status.
England’s Right to Choose arrangements should not be presented as a UK-wide scheme. If you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, ask your GP or local health service about the route available to you.
